Vinitaly 2011; Gran Menzione for the Budai Irsai Olivér 2010
As part of the 40-year-old Vinitaly wine exhibition, the international wine challenge has been organised first in 1992. Only four medals are give by each category (Grand Gold; Gold, Silver, Bronz) It means that altogether 90 medal winner wines are announced, which is 2-3 percent of all entrants. All other high rated wines receive the Gran Menzione certificate, but no more than 30% of the entered wines. The jury consist of winemakers and wine writers as well and a great number of Italian wines are put to the test on this occasion.
